3D Milling

3D Milling capabilities allow us to manufacture extremely large, complex design geometries faster and more accurately. CTD excels at machining large complex parts, such as automobile dashboards. These jobs demand 3D milling to create a multi-sectioned mold. 3D milling allows us to do the largest, most complex molds that can be designed, while holding the tightest tolerances and minimizing secondary machining times.

CTD is fully equipped with CNC machines, sizes up to X=96", Y=47", Z=58", 20,000 lb. We utilize the latest CAD-CAM system to program on the shop floor. Our trained engineering and shop floor programmers will ensure your project, large or small, will be completed correctly and on time.

CAD files accepted:
IGES (an interface translator program that allows us to read and compile your design software files.)
CATIA NATIVE (industry standard)

Cambridge Tool & Die can also take 2D prints or sketches & create needed 3D data to machine your project.

Our milling department runs 7/24, when needed, for faster deliveries.
